Snowflake Experiment

This parametric exercise was born out of personal curiosity - could I replicate the seemingly infinite permutations of a snowflake, and produce several unique designs ready for fabrication?

The script explores variables including the number of legs, number of offshoots (or "prongs") from each leg, and the angle of those prongs relative to the center of the snowflake.

Animations were helpful for visualizing the variety of forms the snowflakes could take, and inspired me to take my experiment to a new place - What would happen if I overlaid two of these volumes on top of each other and looked at just their intersections?

The result can look like an organically growing city, or rather jarring with jagged geometry. Either way, it looks pretty cool.
