This parametric exercise explores creating floor plan geometry derived of arcs, circles, and subdividing lines in a flexible and efficient workflow. Lovingly dubbed the "Bananas Scheme," we sought to create a tool that allowed us to refine the geometry with extreme precision and control.

The script became a central way to control the massing geometry, propose structural grids, track gross square feet, and integrate into the BIM modeling software with the use of software called "Flux." While Flux is no longer available in the same capacity as it was in 2017, it was an exercise in creating rigorously organized workflow between team members and modes of working.

The resulting geometry was used as a base for the programming and concept design phase. Click through the images at the top of this page to learn more about the parametric components.
